How to join York Sub-Aqua Club

These instructions will take you through setting up a BSAC account and joining both BSAC and York Sub Aqua Club. The system is also used for logging your training.

If you have any issues with these instructions we can help you do this either online or in person.

Setup an Account

  1. Go to bsac.com/mybsac 
  2. In the sign in section click on “Create an account”
  3. Enter your details on the Register Page
  4. Once registered you’ll need to login with the details you have created
  5. You’ll need to verify your email and agree to the terms and provide your communication preferences when you loginfor the first time

Setting up your profile

  1. Once logged in you’ll have a profile page
  2. Click on “Edit profile” and enter your personal and contact details

BSAC Membership

  1. Click on Individual membership on the left hand side
  2. Click “Add Individual membership”
  3. In the select a region choose Yorkshire
  4. In the membership type, you will likely need to choose Full Club Member – Unless you are a student
  5. Then select auto-renewal – this means that each year your BSAC membership will renew unless you cancel it
  6. Click Next – This will take you to a club Info page
  7. In the text box search for York Sub Aqua Club
  8. Click Next and enter your emergency contact details
  9. Click Next and choose if you’d like a physical or digital copy of the SCUBA magazine
  10. Click “Add”

York Sub Aqua Club Membership

  1. Click on “Your Profile”
  2. Click on “Club levies” on the left hand side
  3. Click on “Add a Club levy”
  4. Search for York Sub-Aqua Club
  5. Click on “Add”
  6. Choose “All Members – Installments” and auto-renewal
  7. This should be £12.50
  8. Click “Add”
  9. Now go to the checkout which is the shopping cart in the top right and complete the transaction
  10. If given the option of “Bank Transfer” this will setup a direct debit for your membership
  11. If setting up direct debit this can take 10 days to clear but your membership will be valid

You should now have BSAC and York membership –  let us know you have done this by email and we have your details and send you some more club details!
